Dodgers reinstate LHP Sherrill

Sherrill hit the DL on May 25 with tightness in the middle of his back. He was 0-1 with a 7.36 earned-run average in 22 appearances prior to the injury. Over 14 2/3 innings, the veteran walked 15 and struck out 10.

To clear a roster spot, Los Angeles optioned pitcher Jon Link to Triple-A Albuquerque. Link made four appearances with the big league club and pitched to a 4.15 ERA.
